Yes — every CHP Home engineer holds a current Gas Safe registration. It is a legal requirement to work on gas appliances in the UK. You can verify any engineer's credentials at GasSafeRegister.co.uk using their licence number, which our engineer will provide on request.

Yes — you can book your boiler service entirely online in under 2 minutes, with no phone call and no home survey needed. Enter your postcode to check availability, pick a date and time, and pay securely by card.
Yes, in full. You have a statutory 14-day cooling-off period under the Consumer Contracts Regulations, giving you an automatic right to cancel and a full refund within 14 days of booking. Beyond that, there's still no cancellation deadline — however close to your appointment you cancel, we'll refund the full amount to the card used for payment. Full details are in our Terms & Conditions.
Only if your home has an unvented hot water cylinder, usually found in an airing cupboard or utility room — if you have a combi boiler with no cylinder, you won't need this add-on. We recommend having it serviced annually to check the safety devices and valves are working correctly; this can also help meet your manufacturer's warranty requirements, so check your cylinder's warranty terms for specifics.
In short: any extra work is always quoted separately and entirely optional — never carried out without your agreement. If your boiler passes, you'll receive a signed boiler service record. If it doesn't pass, we'll issue a gas safety warning notice. If our engineer spots something that needs repairing, they'll stop and talk you through it before doing anything else, then write up a proper quote. Full details are in our Terms & Conditions.
