Cookie Policy
1. What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website. This site also uses two other kinds of browser storage, called localStorage and sessionStorage. They are not technically cookies, but they store small amounts of information on your device in much the same way, so we treat them the same way in this policy.
We use some of these technologies to make the site work correctly (strictly necessary); a small number of functional items that support features like on-page font loading, which are not set for advertising or profiling purposes; and — only where you give consent via our cookie notice — Google Analytics (GA4) to help us understand how visitors use the site. You can accept or reject all non-essential cookies with one click on the notice, or choose "Manage options" to turn Analytics on or off before confirming your choice. We do not use advertising cookies or tracking pixels.
Separately from cookies, our web server keeps standard access logs that include your IP address, browser type and the pages you visited. Retention periods for these logs are described in our Privacy Policy.
2. Cookies and storage we use
Analytics cookies are optional. If you click "Reject all" on the cookie notice, Google Analytics is not loaded and no analytics cookies are set. Whichever choice you make is remembered for 180 days, after which we ask you again. You can change your choice at any time before then — see Reset the cookie notice below.
3. Stripe and payment security
Stripe's cookies (__stripe_mid and __stripe_sid) are used exclusively for fraud prevention and security during the payment process. They are considered strictly necessary for the functioning of our online booking system. Without these cookies, secure online payment cannot be processed.

4. Google Fonts
We use the Inter typeface, loaded from Google Fonts. When your browser requests a font file, your IP address is sent to Google's servers, which may be located outside the UK. Google states that it does not use data from Google Fonts for advertising or profiling purposes. For more information, see Google Fonts FAQ — Privacy.
If you prefer, you can use a browser extension to block requests to fonts.googleapis.com; the site will then fall back to your device's system fonts and remain fully usable. You can also contact us at hello@chphome.co.uk if you would like to discuss alternatives.
5. Google Analytics
With your consent, we use Google Analytics 4 (GA4) to understand how visitors use chphome.co.uk — for example, which pages are most visited and how people move through our booking flow. GA4 sets cookies (_ga, _ga_<container-id>) only after you accept analytics — either by clicking "Accept all" on the cookie notice, or by turning Analytics on under "Manage options" and clicking "Confirm choices". Until then, no Google Analytics code is loaded at all. Google states that in GA4 IP addresses are not logged or stored; they are used only momentarily to work out approximate location and are then discarded.
Google Analytics is provided by Google LLC, which may process this data outside the UK. Our legal basis for this processing is your consent, and how we handle that data — including transfers and retention — is set out in our Privacy Policy. See also Google's Privacy Policy.
You can decline analytics cookies at any time by resetting your choice below — the cookie notice will then reappear the next time you load a page, where you can choose "Reject all". Withdrawing consent stops any further analytics collection; it does not undo data already collected while consent was in place.
6. How to manage and delete cookies
You can control cookies through your browser settings. Most browsers allow you to:
- View which cookies are stored
- Delete individual cookies or all cookies
- Block third-party cookies
- Set preferences for specific sites
Please note that blocking Stripe's cookies may prevent you from completing payment on our booking page, as they are used to detect and prevent fraudulent payment activity.

7. Reset the cookie notice
If you previously made a choice on our cookie notice (accepted or rejected) and would like to change it, click the button below. This clears your stored choice, stops Google Analytics from collecting any further data in this browser, and deletes any _ga cookies already set. The notice will reappear the next time you load a page on this site.

8. Changes to this policy
We may update this Cookie Policy as we add new features or third-party services. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page will reflect any changes. If we introduce a new cookie or storage technology that needs your consent, we will ask you again rather than rely on a choice you made before that change.
